学院介绍

化学化工与生物工程学院于200710月由化学与化工学院和生物科学与技术研究所合并成立,化学与化工学院的前身是成立于1951年的染整化学工程系,生物科学与技术研究所成立于200410月。

七十年栉风沐雨弦歌不辍,七十年砥砺耕耘桃李芬芳。学院秉持“教授治院、全员参与、按章行事,建设奋进和谐的学院”的方针;以“染整学科为核心,化学和生物学科为新的学科生长点”为学科建设思想,为社会培养出一批批行业领军人才,也为我国纺织工业发展做出了卓越贡献。

学院目前设有纺织化学工程系、应用化学系、生物工程系及基础化学部;拥有国家先进印染技术创新中心、国家染整工程技术研究中心、生态纺织教育部重点实验室、纺织面料技术教育部重点实验室(染整部分)、中国纺织工业联合会纺织行业现代染整技术重点实验室、中国纺织工程学会细菌纳米纤维制造及复合技术科研基地、上海纳米生物材料与再生医学工程技术研究中心等7个省部级以上的科研基地。

学院现有教职工136名,包括中国工程院院士1名、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者3名。86%以上的教师具有博士学位,超过76%的教师有海外学习进修经历。

学院在人才培养方面实力雄厚。现有国家级特色专业1个,一流本科专业建设点2个(轻化工程和应用化学),国家级和上海市教学团队1个,国家级和上海市实验教学示范中心各1个,国家级精品课程1门。自建院以来,学院已培养周翔、何鸣元、程正迪、朱美芳四名院士,本科毕业生近7500名、硕士研究生近2200名、博士研究生300余名。

学院遵循多学科交叉融合的办学思路和教学研究型学院的办学定位,围绕学校的发展战略和学院的工作目标,在纺织化学与染整工程、化学、生物医学工程、化学工程与技术和生物材料学领域都具有较强的科学研究能力。学院承担了包括973计划、863计划、国家重点研发计划、国家支撑计划、国家自然科学基金(重点国际合作、面上项目及青年项目)项目、省部级重大重点项目及地方和企业委托项目在内的大量科研项目,也产出了总数逐年攀升的高水平学术论文,科研成果频频获得国家级或省部级奖项,多项科技成果实现专利转化和投入生产。

The College of Chemical, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCCEB) was established in October 2007 resulting from the merger of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Institute of Biological Science and Technology. As predecessor of the former, the department of Dyeing and Finishing Engineering was among the first three departments established with the university itself in 1951. The Institute of Biological Science and Technology was established in October 2004.

In the past seven decades, we have been trekking through thick and thinpolishing our principles and morals so our students have flourished everywhere. The college upholds the principle of Governance by the scholars, of all faculty and staff, and according to the rules to build a progressive and harmonious college. The discipline of dyeing and finishing has always been placed at the core in our discipline development, while the disciplines of chemistry and biological science are the new areas of growth. Among our graduates are industry leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the development of China's textile industry.

At present, CCCEB consists of four departments, namely the Department of Textile Chemical Engineering, the Department of Applied Chemistry, the Department of Bioengineering and the Department of Chemistry. It is also affiliated with seven national and ministerial level research centers: the National Advanced Printing and Dyeing Technology Innovation Center, National Dyeing and Finishing Engineering Technology Research Center, Key Laboratory of Eco-Textile of the Ministry of Education, Key Laboratory of Textile Fabric Technology of the Ministry of Education (Dyeing and Finishing division), Key Laboratory of Modern Dyeing and Finishing Technology of China Textile Industry Association, Bacteria Research Base of China Textile Industry Association and Nano Fiber Manufacturing and Composite Technology. Nanofiber Manufacturing and Compounding Technology Research Base, Shanghai Nano-Biomaterials and Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Nano-Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine.

Among our 136 faculty members, 86% of whom hold doctoral degrees and more than 76% have overseas study and training experience, there are one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and three recipients of the National Outstanding Young Scientists Fund.  

The college offers high quality programs spanning bachelor to doctoral levels, hosting one state-level characteristic discipline, two first-class undergraduate programs(projects approvedDyeing & Finishing Engineering and Applied Chemistry), one outstanding teaching team recognized on both national and municipal levels, and one NPTEL course. Up to now, the college has trained about 7,500 undergraduates, 2,200 master's students and over 300 doctoral students. Among our distinguished alumni are academicians Zhou Xiang, He Mingyuan, Cheng Zhengdi and Zhu Meifang.

The college follows the idea of multidisciplinary education with dual-focus on both teaching and research, which is in accordance with the development strategy of the university and the objectives of the college. The college is highly competitive in the fields of textile chemistry and dyeing engineering, chemistry, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering and technology. Our faculty has led and participated in a large number of scientific research projects including the major ones funded by the 973 Program, 863 Program ofthe Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Key Research and Development Programs of the Ministry of Education, and the China Natural Science Foundation (including the general projects, international collaborative projects, and projects for young scientists), major provincial and ministerial projects and projects entrusted by local governments and enterprises. These projects have generated a plethora of achievements in the form of scientific papers published in prestige journals, transferred patents, industrial collaboration and awards for advancement in Sci & Tech at national and provincial levels.

Based on the double first-class advantageous and characteristic disciplines, the college has taken advantage of discipline clustering and cross-over to focus on scientific innovation, constantly break through the bottleneck technologies of the industry, find new growth points, make efforts to promote the industrialization of scientific findings, and strive to get the utmost out of the quality discipline resources in improving quality of the programs, creating first-class undergraduate programs and high-quality graduate programs, cultivating top-notch innovative talents, and serving the economy and develop people's high-quality life and national major strategy  first-class undergraduate education and high-quality We will strive to turn the quality disciplinary resources into the advantages of comprehensively improving the quality of talent cultivation, creating first-class undergraduate education and high-quality graduate education, cultivating top-notch innovative talents, serving the major national strategy of developing a high-quality service economy and a high-quality life for the people.
